A Brief Overview of California Education’s LCAP & LCFF

California’s new 2014 Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) requires California School Districts to create Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs) with input from local stakeholders. These LCAPs, which are updated annually, must identify goals and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators. The LCAP must also address California’s 8 Education Priorities, as well as any additional locally-identified priorities.
